Blue Moon Ice Cream Shoppe - Charming Port Austin Ice Cream with 36 Flavors & Exceptional Service

Great idea having ppl pay before ordering. It's always challenging to try to hold an ice cream cone and try to open a wallet. The location is great, in town and easy to walk to. Across the street there is an open green area with some tables to sit and enjoy the nice weather. In the park there is a sand box with plenty of activities for small tots.

This is a fun, old fashioned ice cream shop. They have about 50 different flavors of ice cream and really good waffle cones. There's not a lot of seating inside, but there are picnic tables outside or you can walk to the pier. The pricing is very fair, the staff are friendly.

Came here for the first time over the weekend on Friday and ordered a couple shakes. They were so good. Only one person on shift at the shoppe and she was working her tail end off. She was very pleasant.

Blue Moon never fails to be a quality small town ice cream show with all of its charm. Today was especially busy due to the holiday. The staff managed the crowd well and showed patience through all of it. During the rush I tried to quickly provide my order by saying vanilla with sprinkles but with the test spoon. What I meant was for my son to have a regular scoop but instead of the normal size of spoon to have the small tester spoon. Jasmine not realizing my error without hesitation gave us a taste test of vanilla with sprinkles. She showed grace and understanding even with this strange request. I explained what we really wanted and she quickly brought us our order. I wanted to give special shout out to Jasmine for her exemplary customer service.

Blue moon ice cream not only has amazing ice cream, offering 36 flavors, but they also went above and beyond catering our wedding. Noreen, the owner, let us come in and try all the flavors we wanted, worked with our guest list numbers & dietary restrictions to help plan the perfect offering for a wedding. She was probably the easiest person to work with out of all our wedding vendors! Then on the day of the wedding, she had the cutest set up, she made the decor match our color theme! AND she got us customized bride and groom cups. It was extra special and a memorable that we will cherish forever. We ended up getting 4 flavors, had 2 staff members, and a ton of different Sundae toppings. It was a huge hit and our guests loved it! We had just the right amount of leftovers for us to continue to enjoy our sweet treat. If you’re looking for a great ice cream and/or need someone to cater for a wedding definitely check them out!!!! 10/10 could not recommend them more!

Wonderful spot for all. How cool to have 6 dairy-free choices!! 4 sorbets and 2 oat milk ice creams. Generous portions and amazing selection. Super busy with line out the door but it moved quickly and staff were kind and friendly.

Best ice cream shoppe in the thumb. We go here whenever we're in town. The ice cream is amazing and the prices are reasonable. The owner and staff are super helpful and friendly. Definitely worth going to.
